Come to either Waterrats on the 30th October or XFM show at Islington Accedemy on 7th November. To be honest we would prefer you come to both.
In the City the big new music festival up in Manchester have asked us to do a show on the 5th Oct so if you about come along, its free. Or better still come to 29th Oct Roadhouese gig in Manchester.
So we been working double hard on the new album and (we would say this) but it is gonna be amazing. We go into Dean street studios on 29th November for 4 weeks and we cant wait,

July 2008
What a week. Obviously we have to start with the horrible news of
Jamie Fishers mum Passing. He was so chuffed with all the comments,
emails and blog messages you all left. We thought it showed enormous
grit to play the headliner at Monto Waterrats and Glastonbury a day
after it happening.
So we have at last signed all our many deals. WE MAKE THINGS records
is at last a reality and it is all very exciting indeed. I include a
picture of us lot signing it with the MD Chris Fleetwood. So the gigs
were amazing, the support we get shown at Monto is always good but
this one we felt was even better than usual.
We have also just about completed a one album deal with a wonderful
Japanese Label called Village again. They have bright eyes and the
stranglers (amongst others) so I guess we fill the middle ground.
XFM look likely to playlist the single upon it official release end of
July and all the radio stations bar radio 1 have played it (we are
working on that). We will do a session soon for the armed forces radio
(6 million listeners around the world). Club promo has been very
strong and lots of club djs liking the single (A few remarks from them
below)
So Secret Garden Party in a few weeks and its gonna be a blast. So
Glastonbury what a night. Barriers broken, lots of Oi oi's and some
faces we new also. It was a riot.
Please don't forget the Free gig at Proud Galleries on the 13th July
we on at eightish.
Anyway keep very well,
Jamie, Jamie, Keith and Mike

February 2008
We are now all geared up for 2008 with the release of 2nd single and
album "The Six Grand Plot" in April. Full UK Tour in April. Before
that we are off on Tour with The Hoosiers, which will be wicked fun.
We are doing some of the 1st leg of the Feb/March tour. Cardiff,
Leeds, Preston, Lincoln, Leicester.
We doing a free warm up gig at Vibe Bar in brick lane on the 30th Jan
if you fancy it, if that's too soon then come down to Waterrats on the
27th Feb.
We went to the XFM Award tut other day and met famous people it was fun.
We did sell a fair few of Dog Day Rush single and got a playlist on a
few radio stations inc Xfm Scotland (thanks to our supporter and all
round top bloke Jim Gellatly). It's a solid start for us.
The Manchester Academy supporting Ocean Colour Scene was good fun,
they were true gents and the crowd were lovely. We got rather drunk
and as a result cant remember much but we met loads of people who had
been at the show and they seemed to like it, so all good.

December 2007
Me (Jamie) has been recovering from hospital op for last 12 weeks.
Despite this we have still managed to do a tour of Scotland and
England, do a weeks recording at the fabulous Dean Street Studios and
release our debut single "Dog Day Rush" (Still on Itunes, HMV and all
good vendors).
Single got a playlisted on XFM Scot and we already sold a few, so we
well chuffed as it is a great starting point for the big push 2008.
Putting the March tour together for next year and are hoping very much
that we get to play a couple of dates with some of our more well known
pals.
New single (Pictures of me) and the Video for it are getting praised by lots and
we cant wait to unleash it on the
general pub.
October 2007
Scotland was amazing, everyone that came to see all the gigs last
weeks were wicked. We left waterrats/ London for XFM/Glasgow for our
Live session in the morning and got there in 7 hours. Session was
great. 1st gig at Doghouse was amazing, saw the boys from the View in
the pub, one of them had a broken arm.
Craig from DF promos was wicked in Glasgow and his night at Firewater
was wicked def play it again. Got a little lareped and met some
brilliant myspace Kicks Clan. Same again in Fife, engineer there was
a genius and promoter and place were amazing.
So all in all a wicked time was had by all.
See u in London, Cambridge or Lincoln next week.

December 2006
So we have finished our album and it feels brilliant. Due to gigging, our war chest was replenished. We went back into Dairy studios in Brixton and Alexander Wolfe and engineer Roy Merchant finished the mixing and put the whole record together over a long week in October. We then mastered it with Ray Staff at Alchemy (he did Libertines, Muse and Led Zep). Version Industries, who made this here website, came up with our wicked new logo and Matt Hatfield put all the album wonderful artwork together ... and Bob's your uncle - we have a twelve-track album.
October 2006
It has been a very busy year for the Kicks. We done finished the album
at "the Dairy" in Brixton. Alexander Wolfe artist, brother and
producer has done an amazing job and we can't wait to start getting
the songs out in the new year. We got to master and manufacture but
the bulk is done and it feels good.
Austria was amazing, five shows, 10000 beers and loads of very
friendly bikers. Main stage appearance at Secret garden party was also
wicked fun. It was recorded live and can be downloaded by clicking here.
A new video for the single "Dog Day Rush" can be looked at on our
myspace page. It was shot in France and has women in bikinis.
UK tour we did in July/August was excellent and very much enjoyed by
us. I suppose all is left to say for 2006 is a big thanks to all the
people that came to see us this year.
June 2006

Oasis farm studio in Buckinghamshire, at the helm producer Jan "Stan"

very much to have it finished by the end of FEB 2006. They will tour
